How is the Australian Gold® Laser SprayTans™ System tan applied?

The Australian Gold® Laser SprayTans™ System uses a patented laser guide to deliver a smooth, gorgeous, perfectly even tan.

Why is the laser important?

Independent studies, including the EPA, have proven that our laser guide applicators not only spray more accurately, but also use less product. This results in lower costs and better results.

Will my tan be instant?

Australian Gold® Laser SprayTans™ System offers the option of an instant bronzing formula for immediate results or a dye-free clear formula that will develop into a golden tan within a few hours.

How long do I have to wait afterwards before I can shower?

or best restults, we recommend that the Australian Gold® Laser SprayTans™ System solution be allowed to absorb into the skin for a minimum of five hours.

Will my skin be orange like other self-tanning products?

No. Through scientifically advanced pH testing, our Australian Gold® Laser SprayTans™ System solution is uniquely formulated to virtually eliminate the “oranging” effects associated with most other self-tanning products.

Will the spray discolor my hair or clothes?

The solution does not absorb into hair but you may choose to wear a cap we provide. If you choose to be sprayed with the solution containing bronzer, there is a chance some will transfer to your clothing. The bronzer is aloe vera based and will wash off most fabric.

What about allergic reactions?

If you are allergic to other sunless tanning products or have hypersensitive skin, we recommend checking with your physician before using the products.

Will my DHA tan protect me from the sun?

No. You should always wear sunscreen when outdoors.

Preventative Maintenance

  • An Australian Gold® Laser SprayTans™ System application will NOT prevent your skin from burning when exposing your skin to ultraviolet light.
  • For best results, it may take up to three sessions to develop your desired color.
  • Maintaining your color is possible with subsequent visits of every five-seven days.
  • The length of time your tan will last depends on your skin type, the moisturizers and the frequency you tan. Healthy, hydrated skin will maintain results longer and achieve color faster.

Preparation:

  • Exfoliants used prior to tanning will increase the effectiveness of the tanning.
  • Moisturizers must not be applied in the eight hours prior to your treatment.
  • You should not use the system if you are allergic to the ingredients, a patch test will determine this if you are unsure.

To Prolong the Length of the Tan:

  • Allow the initial application of the tan to remain on the skin for at least six to eight hours but ideally for twenty-four hours or overnight. This will allow your Australian Gold® Laser SprayTans™ System tan to fully develop and will ensure the longest lasting results.
  • Avoid being sprayed directly into the armpits - some people have odor reactions in this area.
  • Clients should have clean, dry, exfoliated skin before being sprayed - no makeup, moisturizers and moisturizing body wash.
  • Pat dry after shaving.
  • Use a sharp, clean razor when shaving.
  • Use Australian Gold® Forever After™ daily after shower.
